There are a lot of questions that people have when visiting a new Holistic Therapist. Find some of the most common questions people have below. If something is still unclear, don’t hesitate to get in touch.

Do you help treat terminal or chronic illness?

As a client it's important to remember that every person is different, I can't say that I know for certain that my treatment will help you, even if I've helped someone with the same or similar condition. I will however strive to give you the best help I can possibly give and with some perseverance from yourself as the client and myself as the practitioner, I'm sure we'll make a productive start to your health journey. 

Healing isn't a linear line unfortunately, but with regular treatment and persistence your health journey will be a happy and powerful journey.

How should I prepare for my first treatment?

With your first treatment you'll be asked to fill out a form of health and lifestyle, please don't hold back on any information as it could be the key information for your holistic care. before your first treatment I will send out a text message with details of what I'd like you to bring or do before you come to me. Please don't change anything about your regular lifestyle before your first treatment so that I can give you a complete summary of your overall health with ways of improving it.

Will my treatment hurt?

Most people having reflexology will feel relaxed and soothed. But pressure on some areas may be uncomfortable or slightly painful, this discomfort relates to blockages in energy flow in that particular area of your body.

 

Deep tissue massages may cause you slight discomfort or pain in the areas that are causing you trouble. This discomfort is normal in this type of massage, it's usually described as a "good hurt" where it's slightly uncomfortable but feels good at the same time. A certain amount of pressure is advised with relieving the areas that cause you trouble, but you're able to request a lighter pressure during treatment.

Magnesium oil can be tingly when used, this means that you have a magnesium deficiency. the tingles will subside once your levels have come up to normal. The oil is mixed with castor oil or will be used in an Aroma Apothecary butter balm.

How will I feel after treatment?

Everyone has a different experience to treatment, experiences with reflexology sessions vary from a general feeling of relaxation, to a sense of lightness or tingling in the body, as well as feelings of warmth, a sense of opening or energy moving.  

 

With massage you will feel drowsy and relaxed, the issue will have subsided for you to feel invigorated in your body, you will possibly be sore in places after treatment due to the heavy work that was put in. 

 

After a few sessions you'll begin to have calmer energy and emotions, you'll feel like yourself again, pain will of subsided, Your symptoms will start clearing up or be maintained.

With an Aromatherapy consultation or the use of Aroma Apothecary butter balms you will get the sensation of the oil administered to you, whether this be for pain relief, stress relief or uplifting. 

with some oils they may not make you 'feel' and have more of a physical effect for acne or rashes like eczema.

What essential oils can I have?

Essential oils can react with medications or your illnesses, this is why an aromatherapy consultation is vital before you can be given any type of aroma treatment.

After a consultation has taken place I will know what oils will be effective and safe to use for you, Then you will be given the treatment that best suits your needs.
